My name is Richard T. Pungello, and I am the Managing Director and Owner of Informed Choice Insurance (ICI). I have always been passionate about helping people with their insurance and financial needs. My career began at a small brokerage house before I moved on to one of the leading carriers in the Medicare and insurance industry. Starting in call center sales and advancing into a management role, I gained valuable experience supporting clients and guiding agents in Medicare decisions across the United States.
In 2019, I made the decision to start my own brokerage so I could provide clients, friends, and family with access to the full range of insurance options available. What began as a commitment to independence and client-focused service has grown into Informed Choice Insurance — a multi-branch agency with a large agent base serving people nationwide. Today, ICI offers not only Medicare, but also ACA health plans, financial solutions, and a wide range of ancillary products. My focus remains on helping clients find the right coverage while mentoring agents and expanding the business.
In addition to insurance, I have expanded into other ventures, including a durable medical equipment (DME) company and property development. The DME business has allowed me to help even more people by providing access to essential medical equipment and supplies that improve daily living and long-term health outcomes. This expansion, alongside my work in insurance, enables me to reach more individuals and families while ensuring they receive the coverage, care, and support they deserve.
I also hold a double Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting, which provides a strong foundation for guiding clients with both knowledge and integrity.
